Skills are technical or physical abilities which a character has learned through study or practice. All skills require a test to be made against a certain attribute to ascertain success or failure and in some cases degrees of success or failure. Skills are divided into two groups Basic Skills which can be performed without learning them, although a penalty on the roll to use them is incurred, and Advanced Skills which cannot be performed without having learned the skill itself. Unless otherwhise indicated skills are only available to a career path that specifically offers them.

Drive Xenos CraftEdit

(Advanced, Operator)

Agility

Skill Group: Eldar, Tau, Imperial

Land based and antigravitic vehicles are not exclusive to the Imperium of man and those used by the Xenos of the galaxy vary wildly in nature. Whether it is simply a result of the physical differences such as height making some controls difficult to reach or the confusion which can come with stepping into the drivers seat of an unkown vehicle, either one will make it nigh on impossible to use the vehicle without proper understanding.
The Drive Xenos Craft skill is used in tandem with the Drive skill, for example, an imperial citizen wanting to use an Eldar War-Walker would need both the Drive(Walker) and the Drive Xenos Craft(Eldar) Skills. Driving under normal conditions does not require a test. However particularly advanced manouvres may require a test against Drive Xenos Craft often in combination with Drive.

Pilot Xenos CraftEdit

(Advanced, Operator)

Agility

Skill Group: Eldar, Tau, Imperial

Just as it would be foolish to attempt to fly any sort of atmospheric flyer or space craft without a proper understanding of the way they operate it would be assuring a brief time working for the Imperium of Man to think oneself capable of flying Xenos Vessels without training.
The Pilot Xenos Craft skill is used in tandem with the Pilot skill, for example, an imperial citizen wanting to fly a Tau Orca Dropship would need both the Pilot(Military Craft) and the Pilot Xenos Craft(Tau) Skills. Flying under normal conditions does not require a test. However particularly advanced manouvres may require a test against Pilot Xenos Craft often in combination with Pilot.
