[edit] Eldar Armor
Most commonly seen being worn into battle by Eldar Aspect Warriors, the Eldar carapace is a lightweight yet extremely durable and strong design that is essentially mesh armour with molded and reinforced joints. The heaviest of these suits provides protection comparable to power armor and yet weighs little more than a suit of Storm Trooper Carapace. All Eldar Armor counts as Good Quality, unless otherwise noted, but Best Quality still costs ten times as much.

When in melee combat one of the most unnerving things to have is your furious barrage of blows simply deflect off some unknown alien technology. Whenever a hit is landed on the user of a shimmershield reduce the total damage dealt by 2d10 (this only affects hits made in melee combat). If the weapon hitting the shimmershield has the powerfield special rule then reduce the damage by 1d10 instead. If a natural 1 is rolled on this then both the shimmershield and the power field have temporarily overloaded, deal damage as normal but the shimmershield has been deativated for 1d10 rounds and the powerfield is deactivated for 1d5 rounds.

- Immensely thick and resilient, power armor of this quality is worn only by the warriors of the Holy Astartes and the most powerful and influential of Inquisitors. Military grade power armor typically includes a military grade power supply, which lasts effectively indefinitely given proper maintenance and occasional refueling; if forced to draw power from a non-military power supply, military grade power armor only functions for 1d5-1 hours (minimum 1) before needing to be recharged. Like regular heavy power armor, it increases the wearer's Size by one step and their Strength by 20.

- Tactical Dreadnought Armor, or Terminator Armor, provides the best possible protection to its wearer. Tactical Dreadnought Armor is not available for purchase and must be granted to the wearer by a person of sufficient rank. Tactical Dreadnought Armor adds +30 to the user's Strength characteristic, increases his Size by one step, and grants him the Autostabilized Trait. In addition, due to its incredibly robust construction, the AP provided Tactical Dreadnought Armor can never be reduced below 4 by a weapon's Penetration. Tactical Dreadnought Armor comes with a built-in military grade power supply.
